METHOD FOR PREPARING THERAPEUTIC AGENT FOR CANCER

A method for preparing a therapeutic agent for cancer which comprises providing a first aqueous acidic to neutral solution containing a metal becoming insoluble in an alkaline solution and a carboxylic acid amide and a second aqueous solution containing an enzyme catalyzing the hydrolysis of the carboxylic acid amide and an organic polymer capable of being gelled by the reaction with a component in the first aqueous solution or by the receipt of an energy from the outside, such as sodium carboxymethyl cellulose and ammonium aluginate, adding the second solution to the first solution, and drying the resultant precipitate. A therapeutic agent for cancer prepared by the method is easy to transport by means of a catheter and is prone to stay in a diseased part.
