FIELD: sanitary and hygienic facilities. ^ SUBSTANCE: invention provides processes for manufacturing allays wetted superabsorbing materials characterized by afloat time below 30 sec and causing surface tension of salt solution by less than about 30%. These processes envisage treatment of superabsorbing material with surfactant solution, which surfactant has at least one functional group capable of chemically reacting with superabsorbing material and at least one unreactive and hydrophilic functional group. Surfactant is deposited onto superabsorbing material when functional groups on the surface thereof are activated.
