FIELD: medicine. ^ SUBSTANCE: method involves measuring and recording laser radiation power density applied to enucleated eyeball. Macular zone projection to posterior pole sclera is determined in the enucleated eyeball. Then, sclera, vascular and retinal tunic is excised under operation microscope along optic axis of the eye, using trephine. Measuring photodiode having photosensitive crystal facet equal 2x2 mm is set into the produced opening. Dependence of electric current intensity and power density from wavelength and laser radiation power are determined as plot of incident laser radiation power with respect to current intensity. The photodiode is fixed on sclera with interrupted sutures corresponding to optical eyeball axis and photosensitive facet plane is set at the level of and in the plane of posterior eye pole retina. Divergent laser radiation beam is recorded as electric photodiode current and laser radiation power density is determined from the plot of incident laser radiation power with respect to photodiode current intensity. ^ EFFECT: high accuracy in calculating laser radiation power. ^ 3 tbl |
