Artemisinin obtained from natural source and its derivatives is used in the manufacture of useful medicines, e.g. antiviral agents. It has antiviral effect against virus causing hepatitis B (HBV), hepatitis C (HCV) and bovine viral diarrhea (BVDV). ACTIVITY : Antiinflammatory; Hepatotropic; Virucide. MECHANISM OF ACTION : None given.
