The method involves sampling a group of image sources (10, 30), where one image is coded in a predetermined standard. Different images are mixed in a preset color space and transformed into an image according to the standard for display on a screen (50). The sampling and mixing operations are performed by a dedicated circuit (20) operating at a frequency double the frequency of a central clock regulating the display on the screen. An independent claim is also included for an image processing device implementing a method for processing an image.
