A disk brake with a brake carrier (10) which can be fixed to the vehicle and on which bolts are secured, comprising brake linings (32a, 32b) with U-shaped recesses (40,40') in the carrier plates thereof. Said recesses are placed on top of the bolts such that the brake linings are guided and are displaced axially in relation to the brake disk.
