The interrupter has a special configuration that permits its utilization for 19 different functions e.g. exchanger and alternating control. The interrupter has an insulated body having six receiving portions for receiving different types of terminals for performing different functions. An insulated cover, in which actuators are incorporated, is situated on the insulated body. Different types of terminals can be positioned in any of the receiving portions to perform different functions. The actuators are provided to actuate conductive billets with the help of a wharf.
