摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autonomous traveling body system correcting an estimated position to an actual position in traveling for performing accurate autonomous travel. SOLUTION: This autonomous traveling body 1 uses left and right encoders and a gyro sensor to estimate a position while performing autonomous travel and changes its direction based on the estimated position. When the autonomous traveling body reaches a position XP or its vicinity, distance measurement sensors 54, 55 and 56 measure a distance to the autonomous traveling body. The measured distance data are transmitted to an access point device 57. The access point device sends the received distance data to the autonomous traveling body. In receipt of the distance data, the autonomous traveling body specifies a current position from the position on the coordinate of the measurement sensors and the distance data, and then, corrects the coordinate for matching the estimated position with the current position.
