PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a small-sized lens-driving device which drives a lens along an optical axis and is made strong and to provide an imaging unit. SOLUTION: The lens-driving device is provided with a stator which is constituted of a coil which generates lines of magnetic force, and a coil case which covers the surface of the coil, has a cylindrical external shape, guides the lines of magnetic force generated by the coil into the cylindrical shape to form magnetic field and receives stresses applied to the lens driving device, a rotor which is located in the cylindrical shape of the stator and rotatively driven with respect to the stator by the magnetic field formed by the stator, a lens holder which is located further in the cylindrical shape of the rotor and holds the lens, and a changing mechanism which changes the direction of force by the rotative drive of the rotor, in a direction along the optical axis of the lens and transmits the force to the lens holder.
