PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hermetic compressor increased in reliability by reducing the cost and man-hours of a two-cylinder rotary compressor driven by an inverter. SOLUTION: In this two-cylinder rotary compressor driven by the inverter, when the compressor is started by the inverter, it is gently started, and the spring 11 and the spring hole of one of upper and lower cylinders 106 and 107 are eliminated. Thus, the hermetic compressor manufacturable at low cost and increased in reliability can be provided by reducing the cost and man-hours of the compressor and increasing the strength of the cylinders.
