A video signal acquired is transferred to a pre-processing unit (103) and subjected to sampling, gain amplification, and A/D conversion before being transferred to an image buffer (104). The video signal in the image buffer (104) is transferred to a noise estimation unit (106). According to the imaging condition, the video signal, and the reference noise model, the noise estimation unit (106) calculates a noise amount for each ISO sensitivity and each color signal. The noise amount calculated is transferred to a noise reduction unit (105). According to the noise amount estimated by the noise estimation unit (106), the noise reduction unit (105) subjects the video signal in the image buffer (104) to a noise reduction process and transfers the video signal after the noise reduction process to a signal processing unit (108). |
