An anesthetic reflector consists of a housing (2) being internally formed from two externally accessible gas channels (4;6) and retaining a filter (24) of a material for releasable sorption of gas born anesthetic agent. The filter (24) is moveable between the gas channels (4;6) to expose a same portion (24a or 24b) of the filter (24) to internal of each channel (4;6) in turn.
