The security system has a locking action which is initiated if the user does not have a coded key when starting the ignition. The security system blocks the vehicle after a set time/distance has elapsed. The thief can then only abandon the vehicle. The release of the block is simply by using the coded key. The block is also initiated when set controls are not operated when the vehicle is started. The selection of the controls can be left to the driver and is not known to a thief.
