<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a component holding apparatus which is small and lightweight and accurately transfers components. <P>SOLUTION: The component holding apparatus is configured in a way that a component holder 20 has a rotation shaft 30 that is connected at a lower end and vertically moved, a rotation motor 40 for rotationally driving the rotation shaft 30, and a sliding device 50 for vertically moving the rotation shaft 30; the sliding device 50 has a mover magnet 55 that moves vertically, a stator yoke teeth 57 comprising a magnetic material, a motor coil 56 wound around the teeth 57, a guide rail 53 including a nonmagnetic material for guiding the mover magnet 55, and a stator yoke 51 that comprises a magnetic material, supports the teeth 57, and extends vertically; wherein the guide rail 53 lies between the mover magnet 55 and the motor coil 56, and the mover magnet 55 and the stator yoke teeth 57 are disposed close to each other. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
