<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display which is capable of reducing the number of masks used in a manufacturing process of the liquid crystal display and has a color filter-on-thin film transistor (COT) structure of in-plane switching (IPS) mode, and to provide a manufacturing method of the liquid crystal display. <P>SOLUTION: In the liquid crystal display device having the COT structure of IPS mode, in order to form a black matrix and pixel electrodes at the same time, the black matrix and pixel electrodes are formed in a triple-layered structure of a chromium layer, an ITO layer and a chromium oxide layer, and a gate pad part and a data pad part are formed in a double-layer structure of a chromium layer and an ITO layer among the triple-layered structure. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
