<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of realizing both high resolution and high speed, when measuring the absolute potential profile of a photoreceptor. <P>SOLUTION: The photoreceptor 1102 is irradiated with a detecting laser light 107 from a detecting laser light irradiation unit 105 via a transparent electrode 108 disposed in a position opposite to the photoreceptor 1102; potential variation is detected by an induced current induced to the transparent electrode 108, surface potential of the photoreceptor 1102 is detected with a surface potential sensor 1101, disposed separately; and surface potential of the photoreceptor 1102 is measured on the basis of both the detection outputs. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
