<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information transmission system which positively uses pictographs and makes a pictograph-inputting operation easy, and also provide an information communication method. <P>SOLUTION: A first user terminal 201 is connected to a provider server 204 via a communication network 203 and transmits the main body of an electronic mail by voice information. The provider server 204 converts the voice information to text information, determines information to be converted into pictographs and reconverts the information thus determined into pictographs. The user of the first user terminal 201 determines an address from the main body of a mail and transmits the electronic mail, in which the text and the pictographs are mixed, for example, to a second user terminal 202.
