<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for welding the head body to the face of a golf head which takes no time for working and grinding and which stably welds the head main body to the face. <P>SOLUTION: A protrusion 413 is formed on one of the surfaces concerned with the welding surfaces of the head body 41 and the face 42, a recess 421 which can be fitted to the protrusion 413 is formed on the other of the surfaces. In the state the welding surfaces of the head body 41 and the face 42 are joined to each other by projecting and recessed fitting of the protrusion 413 and the recess 421, the melting surfaces are made to be nearly horizontal, and the outer periphery of one of the surfaces concerned with the welding surfaces of the head body 41 and the face 42 is made to project more than the outer periphery of the other. After making a projecting surface formed by this face upward and fixing solder to it, the solder is melted by heating to make the solder soak into a gap between the head body and the face for melt-fixing. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
