<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pinball machine which displays a plurality of special patterns efficiently. <P>SOLUTION: A game panel surface 10 is provided with at least 2 starting prize-winning ports 12A and 12B. Whenever a game ball enters the starting prize-winning ports, a random number is obtained, and it is judged whether to carry out a special game based on the random number. When the special game is carried out, a prescribed special pattern and a decoration pattern corresponding to the special pattern are decided. Then, the respective special patterns 11a and 11b are alternatively selected every prescribed order and vary-displayed on a special display part, and decoration patterns 11c are vary-displayed alternatively on one decoration pattern display part. Thus, in spite of having the plurality of special patterns, they do not vary simultaneously and only one special pattern and one decoration pattern corresponding to it are varied, so that a player has to recognize only a varying decoration pattern.
