<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a resource server, a printer, a method, a program and a recording medium, allowing effective management of a plurality of resources over a plurality of printers, and allowing reduction of traffic of a communication line. <P>SOLUTION: The resource server 102 includes a processor, a memory in electronic communication with the processor, and an instruction stored in the memory. The instruction is an executable instruction for making the processor execute the method including steps: for receiving a registration message from the printer 104; for downloading a plurality of software links 118 to the resource 114 inside a resource repository 108, to the printer; for receiving requirement to the resource 114, including the software link to the resource 114, from the printer 104; and for trying the download of the resource to the printer 104 in response to the reception of the requirement. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
