摘要 <p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily grasp a residual capacity of a battery i.e. an SOC of the battery, taking sulfation into account. <P>SOLUTION: This detector/unit/method is provided with a battery voltage detecting means 1, a battery current detecting means 2, a first current-voltage characteristic storage means 3 for finding approximately and storing a current-voltage characteristic of the battery, a second current-voltage characteristic storage means 4 storing the current-voltage characteristic preliminarily, a prescribed current value storage means 5, a battery voltage calculating means 6 in a prescribed load, an SOC computing means 7 for computing a charge condition of the battery, and a full charge determining means 100 for estimating a battery capacity in a full-charge condition. The occurrence of the sulfation in the battery is determined by detecting the presence of the fact that the residual capacity of the battery obtained from the SOC computing means 7 is less than a prescribed value in a time point where the full-charge condition is satisfied in the full charge determining means 100. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p>
