摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a driving circuit for a display device and its driving method that can reduce power consumption and suppress deterioration in image quality. SOLUTION: A display control circuit outputs a polarity inverted signal POL whose polarity is inverted in prescribed timing. On the basis of the polarity-inverted signal POL, a driving video signal Vs and a common electrode signal Vcom are generated. Waveforms of the polarity-inverted signal POL are switched in every sub-frame period corresponding to conventional frame periods. A first sub-frame period SF1 to a fourth sub-frame SF4 are regarded as block frames BF, which are repeated during the operation of the liquid crystal display device. In those block frames BF, 3H inversion driving is performed in the first sub-frame period SF1 and second sub-frame period SF2 and 2H inversion driving is carried out in the third sub-frame period SF3 and fourth sub-frame period SF4.
