PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress connection loss of an optical connector small by accurately aligning an adjusting connector and a ferrule to be aligned, in an optical connector aligning adaptor that confirms eccentric direction of a ferrule before assembling the optical connector so as to minimize connection loss with the opposite side. SOLUTION: The optical connector aligning adaptor 1 is adopted having a housing 2 with a first positioning part 7 which is intended for the adjusting connector 9 prescribed in the eccentric direction, and having an alignment section 5 with a second positioning part 20 which is installed on the front end side of the housing and which is intended for a plurality of aligning parts 23 in the circumferential direction of the ferrule 10 to be aligned. The alignment section 5 is formed integrally with or separately from the housing 2. The positioning key 20 as the second positioning part is provided with an outer part 21 for engaging with the aligning part 12 of the housing 2 and an inner part 22 for engaging with the aligning part 23 of the ferrule to be aligned.
