PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a marking device requiring almost no labor in leveling. SOLUTION: The marking device is composed of a laser range finder 3 wherein a laser beam irradiating means 3 capable of turning in a horizontal direction and a vertical direction is integrated with a range measuring means for receiving reflected light of a laser beam and measuring a range to a reflected position of the laser beam, a surveying apparatus comprising an angle measuring means 4 for measuring a horizontal turning angle and a vertical turning angle of the laser range finder 3, and a driving means 5 for driving turning of the laser range finder 3 in the horizontal direction and the vertical direction, and an arithmetic controller 6 controlling the driving means 5 on the basis of various operations, range and angle measurement data from the range measuring means and the angle measuring means, and marking position data.
