PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To appropriately reserve the reception of a desired program without the need for complicated operations. SOLUTION: A flowchart for denoting processing procedures of program automatic registration processing includes: a step F2 of calculating a view time ratio of a program whose broadcast time is terminated when there is a program whose broadcast is finished (YES in a step F1); a step F3 of throwing away programs whose view time ratio is 35% or below and selecting programs whose view time ratio exceeds 35% as effective view programs; a step F5 of discriminating whether or not the effective view programs are across-the-board programs when the step F4 discriminates the effective view programs; a step F6 of discriminating whether or not the program is registered when the effective view programs are the across-the-board programs; a step F7 of registering the programs to a registration program memory when the programs are not registered. Thus, the across-the-board programs are registered to the registration program memory on the condition that the across-the-board programs are the effective view programs whose view time exceeds 35% and the program such as a series drama broadcast every day can thereby surely be video-recorded.
