PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a plasma display panel(PDP) of which the discharge stability is improved. SOLUTION: The PDP has a buck side substrate, a front side substrate disposed spaced apart from the buck side substrate, a partition that defines a discharge cell together with the front and buck side substrates, a sustaining electrode pair extending across the discharge cell, an address electrode extending across the discharge cell to cross the sustaining electrode pair, a first dielectric material layer covering the address electrode, a second dielectric material layer covering the sustaining electrode pair, a fluorescent material layer disposed in the discharge cell, and a discharge gas filled in the discharge cell. Each of the sustaining electrodes has a bus electrode and a transparent electrode, respectively. The bus electrode extends across the discharge cell. The transparent electrode has a main body placed spaced apart from the bus electrode the central direction of the discharge cell, and a joint connecting the bus electrode with the manin body.
