PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a jack that absorbs an impactive force exerted on the jack or a joint portion between the jack and a circuit board even when an impact occurs from a plug side, and to provide a terminal device using the same. SOLUTION: The jack comprises: a jack body 11 having an insertion part 14 enabling electrical connection by insertion of a core rod 6 of a plug 5 thereto; a movable receiving part 12 located outside the insertion part 14 of the jack body 11 and coming in contact with the plug 5; and a resilient absorbing member 13 provided between the jack body 11 and the movable receiving part 12.
