PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an information reproduction device and an information reproduction method, capable of performing a variety of audio reproduction. SOLUTION: The information reproduction device is provided with: a means (2) for reading out data from an information storage medium in which video data, first audio data synchronized with the video data, second audio data not synchronized with the video data, first reproduction information prescribing the order for reproducing prescribed unit data constituting the video data, and second reproduction information for reproducing the second audio data, corresponding to the series of reproduction of the prescribed unit data prescribed by the first reproduction information, are recorded; means (3, 4, 5, 8, 14) for reproducing the video data on the basis of the first reproduction information; and means (3, 4, 10, 11, 12, 14) for selecting and executing either one of a process for reproducing the first audio data in synchronization with the reproduction of the video data or a process for reproducing the second audio data on the basis of the second reproduction information.
