PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a document retrieval device capable of supporting selection of classification codes being a search key and easily retrieving documents. SOLUTION: The document retrieval device comprises steps of: receiving an input of a text which is a search condition; extracting at least one string of characters being a first search key as a keyword from the text; extracting the first group of documents related to respective extracted keywords from database; referring to the first group of documents extracted for respective keywords; obtaining a list of classification codes for respective keywords which are produced by using at least a part of the classification codes correlated to the first group of documents; retrieving a second group of documents regarding a key classification code from the database for obtaining by using the list of classification codes for respective keywords and by determining the key classification code being the second retrieval key, and presenting the second group of documents as retrieved results.
