An acoustical signal processing apparatus and an acoustical signal reproducing system that can individually output audio signals, in a simultaneous manner, of channels, including subwoofers, the number of which exceeds six, without increasing the number of audio signal output terminals. An acoustical signal processing apparatus (501) comprises signal processing means (a decoding part (502) and a down-mix part (503)) for decoding audio input signals of a predetermined format to output eight channels of audio signals and two channels of down-mix audio signals; a first output part (504) for individually outputting six channels of audio signals out of the eight channels of audio signals outputted from the decoding part (502); and a second output part (505) for exclusively selecting and outputting, based on an externally applied prescription, either the two channels of audio signals as obtained by subtracting the six channels of audio signals outputted by the first output part (504) from the eight channels of audio signals outputted by the decoding part (502) or the two channels of down-mix audio signals outputted by the down-mix part (503).
