<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an IP telephone service method and system capable of providing IP telephone services to users continuously, even when maintenance operation such as software update is performed. <P>SOLUTION: The IP telephone service method and system are a method which selectively makes one out of a plurality of call control servers to respond to a service request each time when a service request is made from a telephone terminal, and provides IP telephone services to the telephone terminal, and a system comprising the plurality of call control servers. Responding to an update request for updating software installed in the plurality of call control servers, at least one out of the plurality of call control servers is left as a response permitted server, the others are made to be response inhibit servers, and the response inhibit servers are inhibited to respond to a new service request from the telephone terminal. After waiting for the completion of IP telephone services being already in the course of providing by the response inhibit servers, the software to be installed in the response inhibit servers is updated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
