PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a curved glass plate having a deeply curved part without any possibility that crack caused by giving damage to the surface is spontaneously developed and which is safe and hardly disturbs visibility even in the occurrence of the crack and is most suitable particularly for the outdoor side of a laminated glass plate for automobile. SOLUTION: The curved glass plate is provided with a portion of R1×R2≤1,500,000 mm<SP>2</SP>( wherein, the radius of curvature of the curved surface of the peripheral part of the glass plate in the direction parallel to the edge is defined as R1 and the radius of curvature in a direction crossing the edge at a right angle is defined as R2). The tensile stress in a plane residual tensile stress area Gb on the inside of a plane residual compressive stress area Ga of the peripheral edge of the curved glass plate G is <8MPa and the surface residual compressive stress in the surface residual compressive stress area Gc of the whole area of the center part on the inside of the plane residual tensile stress area Gb is 10-30 MPa.
