PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an authentication system, an information processor and its control method and a program for reducing the labor of a system manager or the labor of a user, and for improving the precision of personal identification by an inexpensive and simple method. SOLUTION: A user terminal 101 selects a desired image from several images provided from a server 110 in an authentication request for using a server 110, and transmits the image information of the selected image as authentication information to the server 110. Upon receiving the authentication request from the user terminal 101, the server 110 transmits several images to be used for the authentication of the user of the user terminal 101 to the user terminal 101. The server 110 receives the image information of the selected image from the user terminal 101, and verifies the received image information with the image information corresponding to the user terminal 101 preliminarily registered in a storage medium for executing the authentication of the user of the user terminal 101.
