PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an underground excavator wherein various implements have elongated lives, and which can increase the degree of freedom of a cross-sectional shape in excavation using the underground excavator. SOLUTION: This underground excavator 1 comprises an excavator body 10, and a cutter head 20 which is arranged on the front surface of the excavator body 10 so as to cut the natural ground by its rotation. The cutter head 20 has a moving part 23 which is rotated integrally with the cutter head 20. A fixing part 13 which is arranged at least on the outer periphery or inner periphery of the moving part 23 at a predetermined interval between the fixing part 13 and the moving part 23 is fixed to the excavator body 10, and an electric wire 14 through which an electric current flow, is arranged in either the moving part 23 or the fixing part 13. The moving part 23 is rotated along the fixing part 13 by a magnetic force which is generated accompanied by the passage of the electric current through the electric wire 14 so that the natural ground can be cut by the cutter head 20.
