<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor drive unit that can be adapted to a high-function feedback sensor, is reducible in recovery time from erroneous operation, and saved in space. <P>SOLUTION: The motor drive unit comprises: a control part 7 to which a plurality of sensors 3a to 3c including a rotary encoder 3a that is a motor sensor are inputted; a power supply 4 that feeds power to each sensor 3a to 3c; and an opening and closing control part 6 that controls opening and closing parts 5a to 5c for opening and closing the sensors 3a to 3c connected to the power supply 4, in terms of power supply.
