PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas detector capable of expected gas detection relative to a plurality of detection object gases by using simultaneously a plurality of tablet type gas detection elements. SOLUTION: This gas detector is equipped with a gas detector body having a head part where a plurality of gas contact parts are formed, an element holder provided with a plurality of element holding parts for holding the tablet type gas detection elements, and a mounting mechanism where an element holder support part for supporting the element holder detachably is formed. The mounting mechanism supporting the element holder is held by a head part of the gas detector body, to thereby acquire the state where the plurality of gas detection elements held by the element holding parts of the element holder are pressed and set all together onto the gas contact parts of the head part.
