PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotation transmission mechanism with opposed sun gears, having low-cost simple construction with a less number of components for preventing the rattling. SOLUTION: The rotation transmission mechanism comprises the first sun gear 11, a first planetary gear 13 meshing with the first sun gear 11 and having a shaft parallel to the first sun gear 11, the second sun gear 12 opposed to the first sun gear 11 and arranged coaxial therewith, a second planetary gear 14 meshing with the second sun gear 12 for coaxial and associative rotation with the first planetary gear 13, a carrier 15 coaxially and rotatably supporting them, and a supporting member 31 coaxially supporting both sun gears 11, 12 to be relatively rotatable. A friction member 40 is held between the first sun gear 11 and the second sun gear 12 by the elastic force of an elastic member 50 for energizing the first sun gear 11 and the second sun gear 12 in the direction of approaching each other.
