PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system and a communication method by which telephone numbers of a single mobile telephone are switched over according to a use scene and a call is performed. SOLUTION: A service center device 20 registers and manages a user's name, its own telephone number and an operation status of a mobile telephone 10 in an operation status management table 21. The mobile telephone 10 inserts an external memory 12 and calls and receives a call by its own telephone number stored in the external memory 12. The service center device 20 relays a call between the mobile telephone 10 and the party on the other end. The service center device 20 relays the call from the mobile telephone 10 to be transmitted to the party on the other end. Also, the service center device 20 relays the call from the party on the other end and connects the call with the mobile telephone 10 with its own telephone number managed as being operated by the operation status management table 21.
