PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a television receiver with a simple configuration capable of providing contents of programs other than a program during viewing to a user in an easily understandable way. SOLUTION: The television receiver is provided with: first and second reception means for individually receiving television broadcast programs respectively; a video decoding means for decoding video data multiplexed on the television broadcast program received by the first reception means and outputting the decoded video data as a regular program video image; and an image decoding means for decoding part of image data configuring the video data multiplexed on the television broadcast program received by the second reception means and outputting the decoded data as an image on a different channel, and the image on the different channel is attached to program information of the television broadcast program received by the second reception means and the resulting image is outputted.
