PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing device which can inhibit the unloading of a used master. SOLUTION: This printing device comprises the following means provided on a printing device main body 100: a first master storage means 212 for storing a master 34B which is made up by a plate making means 3 and wound around a printing drum 7 in a secrecy keeping mode; a second master storage means 211 for storing a master 34A which is made up and wound around the printing drum 7 in a non-secrecy keeping mode; a master recovery means 210 for selectively conveying the master wound around the printing drum 7 to either the first master storage means 212 side or the second master storage means 211 side; and a master protecting means 24 for inhibiting the unloading of the master 34B stored in the first master storage means 212.
