<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spatial predictive coding method of image, a coding apparatus, a decoding method and a decoding apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: An image spatial predictive coding method, which comprises a step which judges the degree of similarity, between a plurality of a prior data unit which is adjoined to a present data unit, a step which determines the reference data unit for a spatial predictive coding of the present data unit by the degree of similarity, and a step which determines forecast of a pixel of the present data unit, by utilizing value of the pixel of the reference data unit. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
