<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of detecting the speed variation component of a transfer belt and the speed variation component of a photoreceptor drum separately without adding other sensors or writing means or the like other than a resist sensor provided from the past. <P>SOLUTION: The controller 50 of a color copying machine is provided with a driving control part 52 changing the phase relation of a rotational angle between a driving roller 21 for driving the transfer belt and the respective photoreceptor drums 31 in a plurality of image forming parts, a pattern generation part 55 forming a resist pattern on the transfer belt by using a plurality of image forming parts before and after changing the phase relation by the driving control part 52, and a speed information acquiring part 64 acquiring at least either the speed variation component of the photoreceptor drum 31 or the speed variation component of the transfer belt based on a result obtained by detecting two resist patterns formed by the pattern generation part 55 by the resist sensor 25. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
