<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To heighten the effect of reducing a shock and the effect of protecting an occupant by securing the volume in inflation of an air belt without any increase in output of a gas generator or even if the output of the gas generator is decreased. <P>SOLUTION: This air belt 2b includes: a bag-like belt 2d folded like an elongated band; and a cover 2d covering the bag-like belt 10.
