<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a stent capable of easily closing an aneurysm. <P>SOLUTION: The stent assembly 1 comprises the stent 10 consisting of tubular structures 11-13, a catheter 20, wires 31 and 32, and a mold tip 33 binding distal ends of the wires 31 and 32. The stent assembly is inserted into a blood vessel B in such a way that the tubular structures 12 and 13 are drawn together and arranged in a line with the tubular structure 11 and that the tubular structures 12 and 13 are on the head side. After locating the distal ends of the tubular structures 12 and 13 near a branch part of the blood vessel B branching into blood vessels C and D, the wires 31 and 32 are electrified to generate Joule heat at the distal ends of the wires 31 and 32, and the mold tip 33 is dissolved in blood so that the distal ends of the wires 31 and 32 are separated from each other. Next, the wires 31 and 32 are pulled out, and after inflating the stent 10, the catheter 20 is pulled out.
