<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a material for improving bone toughness improving not only bone fracture strength but also the bone toughness and carrying out prophylaxis of fragility or fracture of bone. <P>SOLUTION: This material for improving the bone toughness comprises a peptide prepared by hydrolyzing collagen and/or gelatin with one or more kinds of proteases derived from at least one selected from the group consisting of muscles or organs of vertebrates, fishes or crustaceans, actinomyces, bacteria of the genus Bacillus, bacteria of the genus Pseudomonas, molds, basidiomycetes, Aspergillus flavus and yeasts as an active ingredient. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
