PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a recording and reproducing device with which contents are properly acquired.

SOLUTION: When a CPU 290 of the recording and reproducing device 200 acquires automatic recording reservation request information, the CPU 290 generates new automatic reservation information incorporating recording basic information in which recording start date and time and recording end date and time, etc. of the contents corresponding to a keyword of the automatic recording reservation request information are described and priority information indicating that priority is "middle" based on preliminarily acquired EPG data. When the CPU 290 judges that reservation information and the new automatic reservation information corresponding to manual recording reservation incorporated in recording reservation list information are duplicated, the CPU 290 deletes the reservation information corresponding to the manual recording reservation from the recording reservation list information based on the priority information of the reservation information corresponding to the manual recording reservation and the new automatic reservation information and incorporates the new automatic reservation information in the recording reservation list information as the reservation information.
