<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a low-cost light-emitting device and a liquid crystal display using the same, of which weight saving can be aimed at even when a light-emitting area is enlarged. <P>SOLUTION: The device is provided with a frame body 3 arranged at the rear of a light-emitting face constituent material 4 and equipped with a front opening 3a allowing passage of light of a lamp (a light source) L toward the light-emitting face constituent material 4, and a reflective sheet 5 arranged at the rear of the lamp L and reflecting the light of the lamp L toward the light-emitting face constituent material 4.
