<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ceiling embedded type air conditioner capable of suppressing useless energy consumption by improving the air thermal environment of a resident even when any of a cooling operation and a heating operation is performed. <P>SOLUTION: The ceiling embedded type air conditioner comprises an air conditioner body 10 embedded in the ceiling, a suction port (not shown) that is connected to the air conditioner body 10 and sucks indoor air, a blow-off port 12 for blowing off heat-exchanged air obtained by heat-exchanging the indoor air obtained through the suction port with the air conditioner body 10, and a driving mechanism 14 capable of varying the blow-off direction of the blow-off port 12 to send the air blown off from the blow-off port 12 in a different direction.
