PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a constitution capable of printing in a connection operation even when the print data is not registered in the partner machine in the case when a print (such as fixed stamps) mode is designated for an inputted image in carrying out a connection operation. SOLUTION: An image forming system to be disclosed is connected to a network having a first image forming apparatus possessing an image inputting means for inputting an image, an editing mode means for editing the inputted image, a first storing means for storing the image data, and a first image forming means for forming the image by reading the image data, and a plurality of image forming apparatuses, each possessing an image transfer means for transferring the image data from the first image forming apparatus to the other machine on the network, a second storing means for storing the transferred image data, and a second image forming means for forming the image by reading the image data, wherein the image forming system is provided with a print-data management server for managing the print data on the network to which a plurality of the image forming apparatuses are connected.
