PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electroluminescent element of high brightness. SOLUTION: This is the electroluminescent element having a light-emitting layer 13 including a light-emitting body and a pair of electrodes 12, 15 in order to apply voltage to the light-emitting layer, and the electroluminescent element of the high brightness is realized by making an acetylacetonate complex salt contained in the light-emitting layer 13. Furthermore, by making the acetylacetonate complex salt as the acetylacetonate complex salt coordinated with a tri-valent metal atom, and especially, the metal atom of a group III or group XIII, the electroluminescent element of the higher brightness is realized.
